Republic Day Journalism Award

Information & Public Relations Department has introduced the Republic Day Journalism Award in 2016-17. This award is  given to one media person each year in recognition of his/her excellence in the field of journalism. The maiden  award was conferred on Radhika Mohan Bhagawati, eminent journalist of the state. In 2017-18, noted journalist, former President of Asom Sahitya Sabha & Chief Editor of Assamese Daily “Dainik Agradoot” Kanak Sen Deka was conferred with the award. In 2018-19, Senior Journalist, Dhirendra Nath Chakravarty has been conferred with the award.
